A double golden wedding has been celebrated in Yorkshire, the parties being Mr and Mrs William Sayer, of Tollerton, and Mr and Hrs George Bowman, of Alne. Mrs Sayer and Mrs Bowman are sisters, and both were married on December 2nd, 1862. Solomon Goldblatt, of Spokane, Washington, has 'sued bis doctor for .23000 damages because he told his patient he would soon die. On the strength of this prophecy Goldblatt sold his jewellery business-at a sacrifice, and now finds he Sis recovered his health.
