THE STEEL TRUST
EVIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT
SUIT,
(Received January 28, 11.65 p.m.)
WASHINGTON. January 28.
Tho evidence heard in connection with tho Government suit to dissolve the Steel Trust indicates that Mr Carnegie had broken most of the pools arranged in tho steel trade, and that ho was unable to agree with other pool members on tho methods to be followed.
This led tho manufacturers to consider that it would be a.God-send if Mr Carnegie were driven out of tho business.
