The barometer continues below normal everywhere with hut little gradient, though a small area of low pressure passed with rain in the south during the night. Rain fell on the W 7 est Coast today, but warm and fair to cloudy weatber has predominated. A westerly gale is reported this afternoon at Farewell Spit, but variable winds have prevailed. D. C.
