MR, NIELSEN’S RESIGNATION. 1 SYDNEY, January 24. Cabinet on Tuesday next will consider tho constitutional question regarding the resignation as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Mr Nielsen which was contained in a letter from America lying unopened among Mr Speaker Willis’s correspondence. Tho question is whether the contents of tho letter should be ascertained. The Clerk to Parliament communicated with the Governor, who has authorised him to act in the absence of tho Speaker regarding the vacancy.
