ISSUING 100,000 NEW SHARES. LONDON, January 23. Tho National Dank of New Zealand is issuing a hundred thousand ID 10s shares, on which £2 10s will he called up and offered to shareholders at £4 ss, in proportion to a new share to every two hekl. CHRISTCHURCH,' January 24. . Tho present capital of the bank is 300,000 shares of £2 10s, representing £500,000. Tho issue of new shares will represent £350,000, making the paidup capital £7.50,000. It is understood that tho now shares will be issued at once. It has been decided to issue the new shares at £3 15s, that is, £2 10s capital and £1 15s premium. It is understood that the payments will be spread over three quarterly instalments of £1 5s each. Paymcnt inay be made in full on April 2nd, which will carry a dividend for the half-year ending September 30th, 1913. If, as is anticipated, tho premium on tho new shares be added to the bank’s reserve, the latter will stand at £025.000, making the bank’s paid-up capital and reserve £1,375,000.
