FRENCH PRESIDENCY

KING GEORGE CONGRATULATES M. POINCARE. PARIS. January 23. The British Ambassador at Paris (the Right Hon. Sir Francis Levoson Bertie) has presented M. Poincare with King George’s congratulations on the occasion of his election. In his communication his Majesty says he is convinced that there will be a continuance of the cordial friendship uniting tho two nations. Tho Prince of Wales has also expressed his pleasure at M.Poincare’s election, and forwards his good wishes.
