BUR WOOD MINE. TROUBLE. SYDNEY, January 24. The Colliery Employees’ Federation disclaims all responsibility in connection with tho Burwood mine trouble, and asks the mine-owners for an unconditional conference. Tho miners at Burwood have decided to appeal to the other miners to support them in an to force the wheelers at Burwood mine to abandon tho present attitude, which is blocking the holding of a conference. The miners propose doing the wheeling themselves. PROPOSED FEDERATION. CLERKS AND SHOP ASSISTANTS. SYDNEY, January 24. Tho proposed federation of the Clerks’ Union with the Shop Assistants and Warehouse Employees’ Association would include 36,000 members, A cable message yesterday stated that the wheelers of tho Burwood mine constitute a barrier to the settlement of the unrest in tho Northern district. Tile Employers’ Association has informed the Employees’ Federation that as soon as tho Burwood mine resumes, and provided there are no more stoppages, the employers will be prepared to confer with the employees. The wheelers are not members of the Colliery Emplovecs* Federation, and are thus not controlled by the federation, which is agreeable to the Burwood mine resuming operations.
