Duutroon branch, Awamoko Junction to Duntroon.—Rec-ipts, £7llO 13s. 41.; expenditure, £4027 14s. 4d.; profit, £3082 19s. Kaiapoi-Bennett’s, Eyreton Junction to Bennett’s Junction.—Receipts, £2541 19s. Id.; expenditure, £3234 3s. 6d.; loss, £692 4s, sd. Raugiora-Oxford, Rangiora to Oxford West. —Receipts, £6140 os. 4d.; expenditure, £6231 2s. Bd.; loss, £9l 2s. 4d. Sheffield and Whiteoliffs, Rolleston to Sheffield, and Darfield to Whitecliffs.—Receipts, £10,287 18s. 6d, ; expenditure, £8672 16s. sd. ; profit, £1615 2s. Id.. Southbridge branch, Hornby to Southbridge. —Receipts, £12,439 10s. 2d. ; expenditure, £B6OO 7s. ; profit, £3339 3s. 2d. Waiareka branch, Waiareka Junction to Ngapara.—Receipts, £3993 18s. sd. ; expenditure, £3539 19s. Bd. ; profit, £453 18s. 9d. Waimate branch, Waimate Junction jto Waimate.—-Receipts, £2224 4s. Bd.; expenditure, £2llß 13s. Bd.; profit, £lO5 11s. It will be seen that nearly all the lines mentioned above show a profit, the net profit shown being £13,476 13s. lOd,
