We report continued dulneas in every department | of the Import trade, the past week having exhibited no signs of improvement. There has been little ornfj change in quotations, nor have we heard of any Hives dunging hands, all transactions being essentially of a retail character. Owing to the continued excess, of importations over our current wants, stocks in importers’ hands have Increased to an extent that, precludes the hope of better rates for some ti'me to come. In colonial produce, salt butter in kegs has declined in value, although there is little coming forward; Fresh butter lu pickle has been sold at &L Cheese ; There ate full stocks of Canterbury maV.o at 7Jd to 8d per lb. Bacon and hams are dull at gjd to 9d. with only light stocks. Flour remains at our last week’s quotation for Southern mills. Oats, full supply at 2s 4d to 2s 6d, Ma'ze dull, at 3s 6d per bushel. Fowls’ wheat is wanted, there being none in stock. Potatoes have advanced to £7 and £8 per ton, according to quantity. New potatoes are selling at £l4 to £lO per ton. J. M. TAYLOR’S SHARE REPORT.
