THE THAMES OUTRAGE.
(PER PRESS AGEXCV.I Geahamstowk, Friday. A pigeon telegram to the Advertiser, from Paeroa, states that Mr. James Maokay has had several conferences with the Ngatihako, who refuse the surrender of the perpetrators of the outrage. A conference going on at 5 p.m. at Paeroa, between Mr. Mackay and the principal chief, who still urges delay. Mr. Mackay is expected to return to the Thames to-night. Major Withers Us at Paeroa. All there is stagnation, pending the solution of the native question.
