Wheat ; A few parcels are in the market, but these are mostly taken up by local millers. First class milling samples are eagerly bought at 4s B<l to 4s KM*; medium. 4s 2d to 4s Pd ; chick wheat, 3s Pd to 3s lOd. Oats: Thu demand is steadier, and holders are disposed to accept low rates. Thu price here cannot be quoted at all—2s 4d to 2.s Ud for feed :2s 7*l to 2s Sd for best milling ; prime seed, 2s Sd to 2s lOd. Dar’ey: Prime malting samples, Ps to Ps Pd ; medium to good, 4s Oil to 5s Pd : feeding sort. 2s Sd to 3s. Potatoes: The demand has increased. Blue Derwents, in good shipping order, salable at .£3 15s ; good seed samples have fetched as high as £4 ; kidney kinds are in strong demand at .£!> to £lO. Crass seed : Sales are very limited ; buyers complain of the indifferent condition of town dressed samples, which are freely offered at 5s to 5s 4d ; farmers' parcel vary from 3s Pd to 4s lOd ; cheese. Pd to Bid; butter. Oil to lOd. The supply is equal to demand.
