(per press agency.) Timaru, Friday. The annual race meeting at Temuka to-day was very well attended. "”he weather was fine and favorable, and the events were well contested. The following were the results Council Hurdle Race, of 25 sovs.—Jones’ Fishhook (Hedge), 1 ; Stewart’s Sparrow Tail (owner), 2. Two others started. Maiden Plate, of 22 sovs.—Story’s Cast Out (Demuth), 1 ; Parson’s Jack (Hosking), 2. Two others also ran. Temuka Cup Handicap, of 35 sovs.—Lunu's Milo (Clifford), 1 ; Jones’ Fishhook (Williams), 2. Publicans’ Purse of 20 sovs.—Storey’s Cast Out (Demuth), 1 ; Lauigan’s Polly (Hobbs), 2. Hack Selliog Race. —Moynahan's Gamebird, 1 ; Lanigan's Polly, 2.
