THE PARIHAKA MEETING.

(PER PRESS AGENCY.! New Plymouth, Friday. Another of the periodical meetings at Parihaka has been going on for the last couple of days, without being marked by any new or remarkable feature. The gathering is computed to be about 2500, and the usual amount of feasting was indulged in. Te Whiti made a very long speech, entirely of a Biblical character. He claims to have power to release the prisoners. Fiftsen Europeans were present. Amongst the natives who attended were Wi Rarata, and a lot of his connexions. It is not expected that the meeting will last more than a few days, nor that it will lead to any result, as Ta Whiti’s address was more unintelligible than any of his previous speeches.
