DISTRICT COURT.
Friday, July 18. (Before his Honor Judge Mansford.) HEDGES V. WELLINGTON CORPORATION.
Mrs. Eliza Hedges sued the Wellington Corporation for the recovery of £147 Os. 2d., costs and expenses incurred in plaintiff's action against the defendants in a recent action in the Supreme Court for damages. Mr. Bell appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. Travers, jun., for defendants. An application for an adjournment, made by Mr. Travers, having been overruled, the evidence of Mr. J. Kaine, clerk to Mr. Ollivier, and that of Dr. Mirbaoh, was taken, showing that the amount claimed had been paid to the witnesses by promissory notes, and the expenses having been incurred in consequence of an accident to plaintiff through the negligence of defendants. His Honor gave judgment for plaintiff in the amount claimed, and costs £lO 18s. 6d.
