Ahiuved: Lettorfourlo, 10 days from Newcastle, and Rialto, 23 days; both vessels report easterly gales olf Cape Farewell on .Tune 4 and 5. —The Sea Bird, brigantlnp, from Oroymouth to Timarn, has put In for repairs. She had her galley washed overboard. An accident to one of her crew occurred, one of hia legs being broken. The steamer Kiwi, from the East Coast ports, with a full cargo of general produce arrived In harbor at 3 o'clock yesterday morning. She sails again to-day fov the same ports. The brig Robin Hood arrived In barbor lato on Sunday night. She loft Newcastle on tho 7th Instant In company with tho barques O. M. Tucker and Sophia B. Luhrs, boating them by 12 hours. For the first two days she experienced light easterly winds. From thenco strong westerly gales. Spoks the barque Malay from hero to Newcastle on the third day after leaving, half way over. Captain Croll reported having experienced light, trifling weather so far on his journey. Tho Robin Hood made Stevens Island Sunday morning. Had strong westerly winds In tho Strait, arriving hero as above.
Tho barques O. M. Tucker end Sophia R. Luhrs, both coal laden, from Newcastle, arrived in harbor yesterday morning. Tho same weather was experienced as that reported by tho Robin Hood. The Sophia Luhrs In bringing up off tho end of tho wharf fouled the jibboom of tho brigantine Isabella and carried away together with tho wire and other rigging. The G. M. Tucker In coming alongside tho wharf drifted with considerable force stern on to tho wharf, but fortunately received little or no damage, Tho steamer Hawea, for Auckland via tho East Coast, got away at 2 o’clock yostorday afternoon. As will bo soon by our telegrams, the steamer Hula went ashore at tho Foxton bar while attempting to enter tho river on Saturday morning. No damage Is done to tho steamer. Tho agents hero telegraphed to Captain Mills to throw tho railway iron overboard*ll she would not float off.
The steamer Napier, from Blenheim, arrived here at 10 o’clock last night.
Tile Colleen Bawn, for Otaki, and tho brig Jane, for Sydney, cleared at the Customs yesterday. Tho two fnll-rlggod ships telegraphed as being seen at Fort Underwood on Sunday, are two shins from tho South, hound to Newcastle.
Tho brig* Jane, which has been laid up for Balortg, ha< now got all her sails bent. Sho is along.-.ido the wharf, and expects to .sail to-day for Newcastle. Tho brlsr Robin Hood hauled alongside tho wharf shortly after arrival. All her coal Is for tho gas works. A start will be made to-dav to discharge her.
The steamer Grafton has had what littlo damage sho received to her figurehead and cutwater repaired, and sailed again for tho ’West Coast last night. Owing to tho north-west breeze of yesterday the Isa—holla and Lena did not haul alongside tho breastwork.
Tho steamer Rangatira leaves Wanganui tirfs evening for hero, and will, arrive in port to-morrow morning.
Tho Mhnawatn, for here, left last night, and will arrive hero this forenoon. The steamer Jane Douglas, from Boston, should arriv'o hero this morning. Tho steamer Ore'tl sails for the Manakou this afternoon at 3 o clock., she has a contract for supplying a largo quantity o'i sleepers to Waltara. The steamer Wellington, for Plcton awf Nelson, iilllod yesterday afternoon. Sho returns boro to-mor-row, and on the 20fch loaves again fer Dunedin via Plcton and Nelson. At the former place she will bo docked to receive her periodical overhaul. Tho steamer Patea, from Patoa, is duo hero thismorning.
