The property is subdivided by good wire fencin'*, and is well supplied with ten outhuts, recently erected, and in course of erection. The improvements comprise a well-built dwelling-house of ten rooms, with store and garden attached; stone cottage, shearers’ hut, woolshed for sixteen shearers, capable of holding 1000 sheep; wool store', to hold 200 bales wool. The sheep-yards are the best in Canterbury, and well paved. The ram and shearing paddocks are well arranged for the economical working of the station. Also, A first-rate stable to hold 12 horses, cowshed, saddle and chaff rooms, &c. Capital water-wheel and chaff-cutter attached to the stable. Boilers, crates, drying cloths, and every requisite for scouring on the place, for which the stream running close to the shed is admirably adapted. The improvements are all new and in excellent condition. If required the natural boundaries of the property will admit of its being worked as two runs of 35,000 and 37,000 acres respectively. Kitching, Esq., to sell by auction, at his Clarendon Stud Farm (29 miles from Dunedin on the Main South line of Railway), on Friday, 18th April, 1879, at 12 o’clock—--50 head pure shorthorned heifers and‘ cows, got by Riby Knight and Rockingham, from dams of the April Flower and Queen of the. Butterflies tribes 50 pure-bred Clydesdale mares, colts, and fillies, got by Ivanhoe and Sir. Colin. 300 pure-bred merino rams, guaranteed to have been bred from the purest portion of the stud flock of the late W. A. Tolmie, Esq. Mr. Kitching having purchased the Clarendon Estate (near Waihola) specially far the purpose of breeding his pure stock, has determined to hold annual sales by auction, the first being held as above, thus giving the public an opportunity of obtaining a portion of the blood which has cost him so much ■ time, trouble, and expense in bringing to perfection. The stock is all in fine healthy condition, and every lot will be sold with a guaranteed pedigree.
