TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sib, —The Board of Education has informed the different school committees that the names of eight gentlemen have been submitted, from whom three are to be elected to fill the present vacancies at the Board. Of these nominees, it is to be observed that three only are laymen. It is to be hoped that the various school committees will take into their very serious consideration what the effect would be of an undue preponderance at the Board of the clerical element.—l am, &c., "Wellington, February 18.
