RIFLE COMPETITION.

The City Rifles fired for their challenge medals on Saturday last. The weather was - not conducive to good shooting, nevertheless some excellent scores were made, Private A. Ballinger taking the gold medal for the second time with a splendid score of 66 points. Captain Crowe taking the silver medal, also for the second time, with a good score of 62 points. The following are four of the highest scores ;
