’ The 3.3. Maori, from her usual trip round tho West Coast* arrived here at I a.m on Wednesday. She left Dunedin on the 14th instant, the Bluff on the 16tb, Dusky Sound on the 16th. Martin's Bay on 1 the 17th* Jackson’s Bay on the 18th, Hokitika on the ID’h, Greymouthonthe 21st, Westport on the 22nd, Kelson andPicton on the 24th, and arrived as above. She sailed South yesterday afternoon. H.M.S. Sappho left Sydney on Wednesday week, and arrived here at 8.30 on Wednesday, night, She experienced moderate weather on the passage across. The p.s. Manawatu, from Wanganui, arrived here at 12.30 p.m. on Wednesday. She left that port at 12.30 Am. on Wednesday* and bad fine weather down.
Tho s-s. Jane Douglas left Foxton on Tuesday evening, and arrived here at 5.30 a.m. on Wednesday. She sails for the same port to-day. > • The s.s, Go-Ahead arrived hero from Wanganui early yesterday morning. She sails for Napier and the Bast Coast to-day. Tho s.s. Raogatlra, from Napier and Poverty Bay, arrived here at 10,15 yesterday, morning. . She left: Napier at 11 a.m. on Wednesday* and liad fine weather on the passage down. Sho is advertised to sail for Napier and Poverty Bay to-day. . .The 3.5. Southern Cross left Lyttelton on Tuesday* ■ and anchored in Gore Bay on Wednesday; left there again same day, and arrived here at 1 a.m. yesterday. The barque Sophia R. Luhrs left Newcastle on tho 16th instant, and had light variable winds across; made Stephen Island at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, and arrived In harbor at 4.80p.ra. on Wednesday* "The schooner from Pelorus Sound* arrived her© on Wednesday night, , The schooner Uno, with a cargo of wool, from Moutere, made the harbor on Wednesday evening; - • The barque Edwin Bassett arrived hero from Newcastle on Wednesday afternoon. She left there bn the 11th instant* and had a continuation of light winds. She .will come alongside the wharf to-day and commence discharging. ...... The s.B. Taiaroa will arrive here from Picton and Nelson this morning.
