MELBOURNE MARKETS.

Tho following is Messrs. Goldsbrough and Co-.'a report for tho week ending December 4 : Wool. —We catalogued 5117 bales for our sale to* day, and had a full attendance of buyers and good competition, more especially for superior lots. Inferior to average descriptions continue comparatively dull of sale, moro especially cross-breds, but aro realising good prices taking into consideration the unsatisfactory state of tho Horae markets. Greasy realised 7d to 12d, tho latter price being obtained for DO bales from Mount Camel. Washed wools realised from 13d to 2s 2d, the latter price being for 135 bales from Glcnislu station. Another lot of 73 bales from Coliban Park sold at 23d. In all wo sold 3405 bales. ■Sheepskins.— AVo have disposed of a large supply during tho past week at quotations. The tone of tho market Is dull, and late rates were barely maintained. Thero is a full supply coming forward. AVo quote— Butchers’pelts, up to 2s 3d each; do dry skins, 5s each; dry skins, inferior to medium. 3d to 6d per lb; do medium to superior, 5d to per lb. Hides.— We have cleared out a moderate supply at the following quotations, and report a steady marKct for superior lots. As usual, light hides and calfskins were much neglected;—Ox-hides (average sizes) realised from 10s to 20s Cd each : cow-hides, do, 10s to 13s Gd each ; Victorian salted, 2Jd to Bid por lb.

Kano.vuoo Skins.—There is a very limitod demand up to Od per lb for large frosh well-conditioned skin 3; inferior and medium lot 3 aro entirely noglected.

Tallow.—At our salo held yesterday wo cleared out a large catalogue, and obtained about lato rates. Buyers evinced littlo inclination to operate, and the supply was moved with difficulty. Mutton realised from £2S 103 to £3O 10s per ton : beef, £2O 10a to £23 10.5 do ; mixed, £21103 to £27 do. our last report we have sold DO-i bags wheat by public auction and privato contract at the following prices:—Medium to prime milling, 4a lid to 4s lOd: and inferior, 4.1 7d to 4a 3d per bushel. Flour.—Good country brands arc saloablc at £lO 10s sterling per ton. Oats l'rlrao Now Zealand milling aro worth up to 5s 3d per bushel: whilst Victorian food rcaliso from is 5d to is 0d per bushel. Baulk?.—We disposed of several uarcols of English malting to-day at from 0s Id to 7s per bushel for prime,

Wool.—Wa held our usual saleof small lots to-day, and had a good attendance of hurers. The catalogue comprised 401 bales and 107 sacks, and wo sold 395 bales and 102 saclu, inferior to good averago greasy selling at 7d to 9M, and ordinary to average washed at lGd to 17Jd. Inferior descriptions and cross-brods wcro not so Arm, but other sorts ruled at about last week's rates.
