AMUSEMENTS.

THE HOSKINS DRAMATIC COMPANY. There was a very large house at the Imperial Opera House last night to welcome the re appearance of the Hoskins Dramatic Company, and the performance passed off with marked success. “ Our Boys” is so thoroughly well known, and it might be added so popular, that it is unnecessary to give any sketch of the bright little comedy. The company which Mr. Geddes has brought up with him is a very capable one all round, and the pieces presented last night ran exceedingly smoothly. Miss Tilly Andrews’ May Melrose, Mrs Walton's Belinda, and Miss Daley’s Violet Melrose were all easy, unaffected performances, but the greatest interest of course was centered in Mr. Middlewich, the typical representative of the good-natured well-meaning wealthy lower orders, whose absurd “ malapropisms” are so amusing. Mr. Haygarth played the character capitally. Mr. H. E. Walton’s Sir Jeoffrey also was a meritorious performance. “ O’Callaghau,” a man of genius, created a great deal of merriment, Mr. Walton being particularly good as Felix O’Callaghan. To-night “ London Assurance” will be presented. THEATRE ROY AD. (t Pink 'Dominoes” was played for tho fourth time at the Theatre Royal last night, and judging from the applause of the audience it was well appreciated. At the termination of each act the curtain had to be raised. Tomorrow night there will be a change of programme, so those who have not yet seen “ Pink Dominoes ” should not lose the opportunity.
