The import trade of the past week exhibits no changes In quotations, with a f'ir trade doing in all departments. Stocks are heavy; but the constantly increasing population, and consequent increased consumption, will soon render them more manageable, but in the meantime Importers have to submit to low rates as the result of the desire to realise. Crain : Oats show no change In value, and a fair amount of business has been doing at 4s Od to 4s XOd per bushel for bed, and 4» Cd per bushel for ordinary feed; stacks are ntin excess and prices are likely to remain firm until the new crop reaches us. Fowl wheat is in moderate supply at 4s 8d ; malm 6s to 6s 3d per bushel; bran. Is 4 1 to Is Cd ; pollard. £7 to £7 10s per ton. toes: Old potatoes are becoming o! little value, and sales have been made at 62s Cd per ton ; most of the stock on hand is growing, and comparatively valueless ; new potatoes are selling at 2u to 2£d per lb, trade lots.
