SPECIAL TELEGRAPH WIRES.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir, —I call the attention of the people of Wellington, aye, and of all New Zealand, through the medium of your paper, to a report current in this town, and which has received a certain amount of confirmation from tho Hon. the Telegraph Commissioner, to the effect that Ministers have used their powers to inflict, for political purposes, a very serious wrong on their political opponents, and a purely mercantile enterpiise like the Press Agency, in giving to a w.mld-be rival company of warm political partisans a concession in the use of the telegraph wires, which will only be available to those who associate themselves with this company.—l am, &c., Fair Play.
