The kerosene scare seems likely to nfake that article a drug in the market. Vpou inquiry we find that the whole of the kerosene that has been recently condemned is supposed to have been submitted to a test in America. Our informant says that ho believes the method of conducting the tests here is too stringent, and not the one commonly employed. However this may be, as information has been applied for from other ports of entry both inside and outside of the colony, this vexafa queestio will probably soon be set at rest. lu the meantime it may be reassuring to those Ayho have kerosene labelled dangerous to know that efforts are being wade to prove-the label a libel only.
