Crawford, Esq., to sell by public auction, at his salerooms, Panama-street, on Tuesday, October 1, 1878, at 12 o’clock noon sharp— The whole of the town sections in the truly beautiful and attractive seaside township of SEATOUN, consisting of about 100 acres (more or lees), divided into over 200 sections, about J-acre each. The township has been carefully laid out under the supervision of E. Holroyd Beere, Esq., C.E. Roads have been partially formed ; reserves for public purposes, viz., for four cuurches, educational establishments, cricket ground, and a public park of 20 acres, have been provided for. In view and expectation of this lovely suburban township being connected by railway with the city, extensive reserves have been made for this purpose. Talcing advantage of the experience gained by the running of the steam tramway in_ Wellington, ample provision has been made in the formation of the various streets in Seatoun for allowing easy curves for the laying down of the future tramway, and which would be a great advantage if a similar principle were adopted in Wellington, and doubtless will be in the laying out of future townships. The whole of the site of Seatoun is nearly a dead level, having a fine view of the ocean, being the entrance to the harbor at Worser Bay, and possessing a safe anchorage, with a beautiful sandy beach in front of the township, extending fully a mile long. This spot has been celebrated for the past 37 years for the excellent and abundant fish of all sorts procurable here. As a matter of fact there is no other place within many miles of this large and constantly increasing city possessing so many attractions as Seatoun, and the Auctioneer feels confident in recommending this great sale (perfectly unreserved) to the attention of men of capital and to persons of moderate and small means. The proprietor would not have thought of disposing of it had it not been necessary for him to leave New Zealand for some considerable time before long. Carriages will be provided by the Auctioneer before the day of sale, to enable all desirous of inspecting this favored locality to do so. Crawford, Esq., to sell by public auction, at his rooms, Panama street, on Tuesday, Ist October, 1878— 32 ACRES (more or less) FREEHOLD LAND, AT SOUTH KILBIRNIE, EVANS’ BAY, adjoining Newtown, about a quarter of a mile from the boundary of the city. This, like Kilbirnie North, which he sold about twelve months ago for the benefit and profit of the purchasers on that fortunate occasion, is intersected by well formed roads, every section possessing the advantage of a good frontage to a road. Terms of Payment : Cash deposit of one-fourth the purchasemoney, and the balance by bills at four eight, and twelve montbs, in equal instalments, with interest at the rate of 8 per cent, added thereto. Every, section can be easily discovered, as the surveyor’s pegs are all plainly numbered ; but, in the event of any one requiring, the services of a surveyor will be available to point out the several allotments.
