Dnring the short space of thirty dvys the vessel has received new waterways fore and aft, and part new main deck, caulked brer all. new boats, galley, poop front, head knee, hawse.pipes, Ac, &c. The ship was surveyed yestarday by.Oiptaius Mclntyre and Holliday, 'Lloyd's suiveyors, who speak in the highest terms of th« work done to tho ship. Captain Frasar also expresses himself as well satisfied with all done to the vessel. We are, glad to sse that our local firms can dompete with Newcastle so favorably, and are conttdent that if they only had bolter facilities than they ■: now, liavo they cou'.d do work» more cheaply than at present.
