TIMARU, Friday. Wheat is not active, and is quoted as low as 3s lOd. Oats are in great demand at 3s lOd, and but little offering. Prime malting barley, 5s 3d, and scarce. The farmers still hold a large quantity of wheat.
CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The wheat market continues dull. Sixteen thousand bushels were sold to local millers at a rate equal to 4s 6d at the mill. ’ (Millers’ stocks are light, and .considerable orders are* in hand. Flour, £ll 10s to £1210s; oats, barley, and other produce unchanged.
