The steamer Bangatira h detained from sailing, owing to a slight alteration which is about to be effected in her water tanks. . The s.s. Stormbfrd is nowon the slip being painted. Si>e will resume her regular trade to Wanganui on Thursday. The p.s. Wal'aco arrived here from Nelson early yesterday morning. She left at noon on Sunday, and made the run in 14 hours.

The steamer Bingarooma sails to-day for Melbourne via the South.

The steamers Napier and Lyttelton sailed lad night for Blenheim. The steamer Luna, after discharging 203 tons of coal, sailed last night for the West Coast, The p.a. Manawatu arrived at Wanganui at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, and sails'again for Wellington at 7 o’clock this evening. She will arrive here on Wednesday morning. . ENGLISH SHIPPING. Shipping Arrangements for tho colony stand at present as follows : For Auckland the Halcione was to sail on the 25th May, the Paroom on the 12th J one, and tho Facnenoth on the 25th For Canterbnry the Langstone will sail on 10th Jane, the Walmate on the 12th, tho Waltangi on the 30th, the Crusader on the 10th July, and the Bangitlkci on the 25th.
