Tho following ivro the duties collected at tho Customs yesterday:—

The amounts of Customs duties received at the port of AVellington for the week ending the 27th of Juno, were as under: —

We report a fair business demand during the past week for imported goods, with a slight improvement in values, owing to the lengthened passages making by the London ships, which havo had the effect of enabling importers to reduce their stocks ; with the exception of this slight improvement wo notice no change in values. Hennessy’s case brandy continues Arm at 33s to 345; no stocks. Bass’s bottled ale in good demand at 12s G’d. All best brands of bottled ales and stouts low in stocks. Colonial Produce.—-Keg butter continues to excite but little attention, and wo think makers would have been wiser to have sold at current rates than hold back a perishable article for an uncertain advance, IVo quote Sd to Bid for prime cure, in shipping parcels. Bacon and hams are in full supply at 8d to 9id per lb for prime Canterbury. There is little doing in flour, the general impression being that prices will yet bo lower. Sales of best brands of Oamaru and Canterbury mills have been made at £l2 per ton. Adelaide flour is in short supply, and quoted at £l7los to £lB. Bran continues scarce, and is worth Is 3d per bushel. Pollard, dull at £7 tc £7 ss. per ton. Oats are In fair demand at 4s 2d to 4s sd, liglit stocks. Oatmeal has advanced in value, and is now quoted at £2llos per ton. Mr. George Thomas reports produce prices as follows Fleur, Adelaide, £l7 30s, colonial £l2 to £l2 10*; oats, 4s Od; bran, Is 3d; wheat, 4s 3d; hams, lid; bacon, B}d; cheese, 7d to Sd; pollard, £7 10s; potatoes, £3lss; maize, Os: butter, 9d to lOd.
