MELBOURNE STATION AND FARM PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs. J. H. Clough 1 ami Co., in their report dated Melbourne, 16th May, state quotations as follows : Wool.—Since. the recent auction sales the market has been almost entirely cleared, and there is now little doing beyond the sale of odd lots at the skin sales, which realise full rates. The London May scries of sales commenced yesterday, and in a day, or two we shall have telegraphic news thereof. Sheepskins.—During the week we have disposed of a large, supply at our sales, which have passed off satisfactorily at the following prices, viz.:—For green skins, 2s 4d to 6s ; lambs*. Is 7d to 3s 3d : dry skins. Is (kl to is : and up to 6s each for full-woollcd; and station skins, in bates, 4d to Ojd per lb. Hides.—Our sales ,of the week have been fairly supplied, the market remaining about the same,' heavy weights being much wanted. Wo have sold green ox at 20s to 60s each ; cow, 2.U1 to 2|d ; Victorian salted, Bi<l to 4d ; New 4£d to 6d; and calfskins, 3Ad to 4d per lb. Tallow.—Wo have had an average supply forward, and by auction and privately we have sold inferior at £2S to £2O: mixed, £3O to £32; beef, £3O to £32; and mutton, £33 to £34 per ton. Wheat.—Since our last week’s report some few fluctuations have taken place in prices, but to day we can only quote our last week’s rates, at which yesterday and to-day we have arid at, viz.—for medium quality, 6s 3d to 5s Cd, and superior parcels, 5s 7<l to 5s 9d. Flour remains unaltered, the quotations for good brands being £U 15s to £l2, with a fair enquiry. Oats. —The market is Arm and the demand good. We have sold medium Tasmanian coast at 4a 4d to 4s 6d. good, 4s 8d to 4s lOd; Victorian, 4s 3d to 4s 0d; and New Zealand at ss. Maize since our last week’s report lias made a considerable advance, and yesterday and to-d «y sales are' being made up to ss. Bran.- -We have sold from 13d to 15d. Barley Is in fair request, and is selling at 5s 3d to 6s, according to sample. Teas are saleable for good samples at ss.
