RIFLE MATCH.
WELLINGTON V. CHUI3TCHUUCII. : A squad of cadets from the ; various town corps, under the command of Captain Holmes, fired another of their series of matches on Saturday afternoon against Christchurch. The weather was dull and cold,and towards 4 o’clock a fine mist all but obscured the target, and made good shooting impossible, so that the scoring fell off considerably at the 300 yards range. However, considering the lateness of the season, the total number of marks made, 881, gives a very fair average of 38T points per man. Below are the scores ;
