RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
"Wednesday, Mat 9. (Before J. 0. Crawford, Esq., 8.M.) DRUNKENNESS, , Alexander Holmes was fined 10s., or 48 hours' imprisonment, for being drunk in the public street. VAGRANCY. Eliza Wilson was charged with vagrancy. It appeared from the evidence that the unfortunate woman had only just come out of gaol, after serving three months for a similar offence. His Worship sent her back to gaol again for an additional three months. BREACH OP CITY BY-LAWS, W. H. Dobson, for leaving his horse and trap-unattended, was fined 5s- and costs. BREACH OF THE HARBOR REGULATIONS, M. Segrif was charged by Captain Haitiday with committing a breach of the harbor regulations by shifting the hulk Albion from one part of the wharf to the other. Defendant pleaded guilty. Captain Halliday said he did not wish to press the charge. His Worship accordingly dismissed the case. CIVIL CASES. Eves v. Mclntyre.—Claim, £2 3s, 9d., for rent. Mr. Eitzherbert appeared for the defendant, for whom judgment was given, plaintiff to pay costs. J, E. Harris v. Maurice Crosnir. —Claim, £7 18s, 9d.; judgment summons. Defendant was ordered to pay £1 per week. Same v. G. S. Budge.—Claim, £ll 165,; judgment summons. Defendant was ordered to pay forthwith, Te Aro Theatre Company v. G. S. Budge. —Claim, £ls. Judgment by default for the amount claimed and costs. Same v. B. Spiers.—Claim, £6. Judgment by default for the amount claimed and costs. Strike and Saunders v. Alexander Macdonald.—Claim, £l. Judgment by default for the amount claimed and costs.
