The telephone may be well enough as a musical disseminator, but what the country needs is the invention of some sort of musical conductor which may be applied to hand organs and tin-pan pianos in such away as to conduct the “ music'* noiselessly off, and dump it in some out of the way place, where it will not become offensive. From the Man of the World, the very latest new paper started in London, wc glean as follows : —“ The Prince of Wales wasstrolling with his brother-in-law down Piccadilly one hot summer’s afternoon, when the latter was seized with the pangs of thirst. * Let’s into Spiers and Pond’s and have a tankard of Bass, in default of the Lager of my native land/ he proposed 4 Wc shall get mobed by a loyal British crowd/ replied n.IUI. 1 Not so/ was the answer; ‘there is a way out through to Jermyn street; let us chance it.' * Almost thou persuadest mo to beer, Christian/ said the Prince.” , New discovery of gold, a discovery which promises to eclipse and outdo all previous discoveries, is that which has lately been made in the great restorer of sick people to sound health. “ Giiollah’s Great Indian Cures ” are beyond all questioning the most marvellous discovery ; for health is more than gold, and by the use of these meritorious medicines not only can health bo maintained, but persona laid aside by sickness of many years’ duration are restored to health, and snatched from the jaws of death.—[ Advt. Monsieur Tainis on the Beauty op English Ladies.— -The point which seems particularly to have impressed itself upon the mind of this brilliant French writer, with respect to “English beauties” is the “ dazzling purity of their complexions.” Doubtless, Nature has richly endowed our countrywomen in this respect, but art has d 'me no loss, ia supplying such an exquisite preparation as Rowlands’ Kalydor, which so far aids nature as to remove freckles, roughness of skin, tan, and sunburn, and produces a pure and delicate complexion. Buy only Rowlands’, of 20, Hatton Garden, London. Sold all over the world by chemists, druggists, bazaar ard storekeepers.—Whole sale agents, Fklton, Giumwade, & Co.—[Advt
