CRICKET.

A scratch match was played at the Basin Reserve on Saturday afternoon by members of the Union, Telegraph, and College clubs. Sides were chosen by Messrs Martin and Wratt. The afternoon was all that could be desired for the game, but apparently very little interest was taken in the match beyond those immediately concerned. Wratt’s side went to the wickets first, and were all disposed of for 45 runs. The other eleven were more fortunate, and put together 70, with the loss of only three wickets. The fielding of both sides was very indifferent, especially the long stops. The bowling was not so bad, particularly that of McGirr, who took nearly all the wickets. The following are the scores
