The following are the duties collected at the Customs on Thursday
Trade throughout tho whole of the past week has been duller than has been the case for some time past, and transactions have been entirely restricted to the supply of local .wants. Stocks of imported goods are heavier than desirable,, and as a consequence ■prices remain at a low rate/leaving hardly a margin of profit. The auction trade-sales that have been held have showed a marked langour and disinclination on the part of buyers to Invest at almost any figure that must bo exceedingly discouraging to importers. At Mr. Isaacs’ sale on IhelTth tho following prices were obtained, most of tholots bolngwithdrawn 10 cases Bell and Black's plaid vestas, Gs (Id per gross; G cases Bryant and May’s plaid vestas, 3a (3d; 80 boxes 3De Koubaix candles, Sid; G tons Sydney I C sugar, £45 Gs per ton; 10 cases Bull Dog stout, 10s; 10 cases Hennessy's brandy, 83s;10 cases Borne whisky, 19s Od: 10 cases Burnett’s old tom, 18s; 60 boxes. Golden JEaglc cigars at *9los per 1000; 10,000 Ormond Swiss nt 80s; 5 cates i sirdlues. 8s 3d per dot; 30 boxes tea, SZs ed; 10 cases salmon, 10s to 10s 6dper dot etc. ,
