This case was continued from the previous day, and. the evidence having been taken it was simply reserved for judgment. In giving judgment, to-day, his Honor stated that the Court was unanimously of opinion that the compensation to be paid by the Corporation should be the sum of £3OOO, and the Court was also of opinion that the sum of £SO should be paid to Mr. Stewart by way of costs. Mr. Izard mentioned that, with his brother practitioners, they had reckoned the expenses at slightly beyond the amount awarded by hia Honor.' - ' His Honor observed that' the lump sum had been agreed upon, and it was better then not to be altered. In answer to Mr. Izard, he further stated that the award made by the Court would require to be filed in the usual way—drawn up by Mr. Izard him-elf as solicitor for the successful party, and signed by him the Judge of the Court.
