The demand for English imported goods during the week has been about on the average for this time of the year, when holidays and other matters interfere with the regular trade. Stocks continue to be h- avy. and the arrival of the Araby Maid and Rialto will tend td increase them considerably. There are few changes in quotations calling for remark. Bottled and draught be rs of favorite brands are in better demand at 12s 3d to I2s Od per dozen and to £9los. per hhd. Madeira and Hennessy’s brands have gone up slightly, and are now firm at 10s per gallon and 34s per case ; with these exceptions prices remain as per last report, with a slightly downward tendency In colonial produce keg butter is in somewhat better demand, and sains of first quality aro reported at 8d to B£d per lb; inferior, 3d to Od ; cheese, dull at 8d; bacon and hams, new, cure, in fair supply at Pd and Od; flour, Southern brands of flour, quality guaranteed, are quoted at £l3 1 Os to £l4 per ton. in sacks ; sales, £,13 10» ; Adelaide flour, firm at £l7 10s per ton. The catalogue comprised 1750 bales,: consisting entirely of inferior to ordinary descriptions, no supurior lots being Offered.
