Sailed: Bawea, for South, via ihe East Coast, at 4.30 p.m. Passengers for Wellington—Mr. and Mrs, Lemon, Mr. and Miss Chamberlain, Messrs. Mclntosh (2), G. Wood, Totton, Gossitt, and Churton. The s.s. Napier left Blenheim at 9 o’clock yesterday morning, and arrived here at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, having experienced fine weather across. The Napier will sail for Blenheim to-night at 12 The Alhambra, from Melbourne, via the South, will arrive here this morning, rtho will leave £or Melbourne, via the West Coast, this afternoon. The Manawatu left Wanganui at 1 a.ra, yesterday, and arrived in port at 4.30 p.m.; experienced head winds throughout. She is expected to sail for Wanganui atß o’clock this evening. All was in readiness on board the Matau a yesterday evening to proceed to sea, and if the weather is anything like favorable this morning. It is ant cipated that she will sail for London. Full paiticulars of her cargo will be found above. ri - The s.s. Taranaki, from the South, arrived in port at 12.30 p.m yesterday. She left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m, on the 23rd inslant, and arrived at Lyttelton at 10 a.m. on the 24th. Sailed again at BSO p.ra. same day. and arrived here as mentioned above. Experienced southerly winds throughout. The Taranaki sailed for the Manukau, via Nelson and New Plymouth, at 12 o’clock last night. A host of timber-carrying vessels have cleared out for different parts of the colony, and are expeetdd to sail to da -. The Union Company’s s.s. Rotorua from Sydney, via AuckLnd and Napier, arrived in port at 9 o'clock yesterday morning with the inward San Francisco mail, transhipped at Auckland from th<* If.M.S. Zealandia. The Rotorua left Sydney at 5.30 p.m. on the 16th Instant, and experienced moderate westerly winds, with fine weather, across to Auckland, making the ran In four days and twenty hours. Left there at 4 p.m. on the 22nd, arrived at Napier at 9 a.m. on the 24th; sailed ragain at 1 p.m. same day, and arrived here as above stated. Th« B,otorua sailed for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The ss. Wellington, from Nelson and Picton, arrived in port at 5 a.m. yesterday. She left Nelson at 1.30 p.m. on Thursday, arrived in Picton at 10.30 p.m., sailed same night at 12 o’clock, and arrived here as above stated. Exp rienced southerly winds throughout. The Wellington will sail for Picton and Nehon tins afternoon.
