NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of clause 77 of the Deed of Settlement, the HALF-YEARLY GENERAL MEETING of the Proprietors will be held at the UNIVERSITY (now COLONIAL BANK) BUILDINGS, on WEDNESDAY, the 30th .January, instant, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. And notice is hereby further given, that Mr. John Reid, of Corner Bush, retires from the office of Director of this Bank, in terms of the 42nd clause of the Deed of Settlement, and that he is not until the next ensuing election eligible for re-election, and that the following Proprietors have given notice, in terms of clause 45 of the Deed, that they are Candidates for the office of Director thus vacated, viz.;— Honorable HENRY SAMUEL CHAPMAN. At such Meeting the term of office of the present Auditors will expire, and it will be the business of the Meeting to elect two proprietors to be Auditors for the ensuing year, pursuant to clause 97 of the Deed of Settlement. Of the retiring Auditors, one only (Mr. Keith Ramsay) is eligible, and offers himself for re-election as an Auditor.
