DEATH OF M. THIERS. TURKS STRONGLY REINFORCED, [The following telegram was received at the New Zealand Times office at half-past 2 o’clock this morning]:— , Bombay, September 4, 8.14 p.m. M. Thiers has died from apoplexy. Sulieman Bey telegraphs that he has been strongly reinforced. He has dislodged the enemy from the Gabrovaroud, near Yechilagie. [Tlxe following telegram has been received from the Agent-General, and was published by tlxe New Zealand Times as an Extra yesterday afternoon.] London, September 3, 5.30 p.m. - Mehemet Ali attacked the Russians in force on the 30th at Poskoi, and drove them back beyond Ziralorn (the River Lorn) with heavy loss. Osman Pasha attacked the Russians on tlxe 31st in front of Plevna, and captured several Russian positions commanding the road I to Loftcha. The Shipka Pass situation remains unchanged. ■
