The Arawata left Melbourne at 9 p.m. on the 14th ■with the Suez mail. 460 tons cargo, and 33 saloon and 22steerage passengers for all ports; cleared the Heads at 11.30 p.m.: passed Swan Island at 5.30 p m, nL 'rt day, and experienced strong north-west winds, with ■heavy head sea for ill© first three days, and then-light south-west vinds and fine weather until her arrival; she sailed at noon for Dunedin. She left there at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, and crossed the bar at 3 p.m.; but .meeting with a heavy S.E. gale, -with high sea, and having a large number of sheep on board, had. to take shelter under the Coal-heavers at 7 p.m. At 5 o’clock next morning, the wind having considerably moderated, she continued her trip, and arrived here as above.. She will sail again for Foxton this afterschooner Hose of Eden, with a full cargo of sawn timber, arrived in harbor yesterday from Picton. • ■ . The baiqne Auatralind sailed for Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. . „ _ The Napier arrived in harbor from Blenheim at 7.3$ p.m. on Saturday. She left there at 11 a.m. same day, and had fresh S.E. winds across. The Napier will leave for Blenheim to-morrow morning. The Luna sailed for the AVest Coast on Saturday at Ll 5 p.m., and the Lyttelton left for Blenheim at 10 o’clock same night. The steamship Albion sailed for Melbourne and Hobarton via the South on Saturday afternoon at half-past four o’clock. The s.a. Moa was successful on Saturday m finding the forty fathoms of cable and the anchor which the ship Olenlyon lost a short time ago close to Barrett’s Tteef. Captain Butt has buoyed the anchor and ■chain, and intends on the first favorable opportunity to raise them. The ketch Reliance, which left here on Friday for Pelorus Sound, brought up in Worser Bay. She got out yesterday. The schooner Josephine sailed on Saturday for Foxton, and succeeded in beating ouside the same evening.
