The following are the duties collected -at the Customs yesterday:—
The Custom* duties received at thia port for the week ending August 2. were as under :—■ *•
Tlie past week has proved dull, and no changes.in, quotations have come before us calling for .special t notice, prices with few, exceptions remaining unaltered. Stocks are generally.heavier,than' desirable, ruling consequently in. favor! of, buyers ; but sales are limited to local requirements of the retail trade. In colonial produce,'flour remains at‘£lß to £lB 10s for. Oamaru and Canterbury mills in sacks, and although price's are hardening in Australia, the'large stocks’on hand-in New Zealand markets have served, to cheek any rise here. Oats are firmer, and are quoted at Is. but large sales have been made at 3s 9<l : barley, dull at 3s 6d to 3s Rd. Bacon, hams, butter, cheese,-and: produce generally! unaltered in value, and in full supply.
