A COMPLAINT.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sib, —I would suggest to your correspondent “ Interested ” that he should read the rules of the society he professes to belong to ; he would then have seen when the annual meeting was likely to be held, and taken care to have sent in the nominations of the “very good men” he has in his eye to fill the vacancies on the directory. The shareholders as a body will think as I do, that seventeen or eighteen clear days’ notice of a meeting is quite sufficient for all practical purposes. I know something of the present members of the Board, and I am sure one or two of them will gladly make room for any one likely to he more useful and valuable to the society than they are. lam afraid, however, the good men and true exist only in your correspondent’s imagination, and that he is but a growler pure aud simple.—l am, &c., A Large Shareholder, not a Director.
