The following were the tenders opened at the meeting of the Wharf Committee yesterday : NO. I. CONTRACT. Goodfellow—First item, £12,714 ]ls. 2d. ; second item, £2672 11s. Bd. If black birch should be taken for piles instead of ironbark, then £12,414 11s. 2d., and £2472 Us, Bd. respectively. J. Saunders, £12,608 and £2850 10s. ; with black birch, £11,720, and £2300. C. McKirdy, £12,141, and £2740 ; with black birch, £11,350 and £2600. Hughes and Co., £14,061 and £3349 ; with black birch, £13,601 and £3029. Kerr and Co., £12,744 and £2716; with black birch, £10,035 and £2242. S. Brown, £14,647 and £2947. J. Lockie, £11,750 and £2750 ; with black birch, £13,440 and £2325. Coffey and Co., £12,200 and £2436 ; with black birch, £17,000 and £5400. Bassett, £17,500 and £5051. Broudfoot, £12,058 and £2852 ; with black birch, £12,600 and £2BOO. NO. 11. CONTRACT. Two telegraphic tenders received were informal, and subsequent to the meeting of Council yesterday the Mayor received another tender by telegraph, which was of coarse too late ; as however it was in excess of many of the others, no harm has been done. The totals for both contracts stand as follow:—Goodfellow, ironbark, £22,475 2s. Id.; black birch, £21,475 2s. Id. Saunders, £23,457 and £20,210. McKirdy, £22,268 and £20,790. Hughes, £30,820 and £28,496. Kerr and Co., £23,685 and £19,372, Brown, £25,797. Lockie, £26,950 and £24,015. Coffey, £23,286 and £37,300 Proudfoot, £22,860.
