TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. g ni) At the request of a relative of the late Sir Donald McLean, I beg leave to state that the account published from the New Zealand Herald in your paper of the 25th inst. of his family and early days, is altogether inaccurate, Having met with most of the members ot his family, and having learned from himself and from them many particulars of his early life and proceedings in the colonies, I am in a position, to confirm the above statement. —I am, &c, A Reader.
