The plant consists of two portable engines, S and 10 horse-power respectively, _ vertical frame and breaking-down machinery, circular saw benches, blacksmith’s shop, and all necessary appliances, together with two miles of tramway, and the exclusive right of cutting off of 371 acres of first-class totara, matai, and pine timber land. The mill is situated in the centre of the Manawatu district, having for its markets Palmerston,' Feilding, Sandon, Foxton, and the adjacent settlements, now beingrapidlypeopled and advancing in material wealth, whilst the Late Governmental concessions in the tramway rate opens the Wellington market for totara timber.
