AN ENQUIRY.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE NEW ZEALAND TIKES. Sir, —Can you inform me if it is the intention of the different steamboat proprietors to run cheap excursions this year as heretofore 1 The New Zealand Steam Navigation Company have, I think, always followed this practice, enabling Christmas to be carried out in its entirety by bringing friends and relations together, according to the good old English fashion, I ask for information because I see no advertisements to this effect, and if we are not to have the means of economical transit, as in former years afforded by the large steam company, then I would suggest that one or other of our merchants, owning steamers such as the Kiwi, Tui, or others, should lay on boats, one North and the other South, to give friends and relations the opportunity of enjoying your obedient servant’s Roast Beep and Plum Podding. November 7, 1876.
