WELLINGTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the Wellington Athletic Club was held at the Pier Hotel last night at half-past seven o'clock. Mr. McLean was voted to the chair. The balance sheet was read, showing receipts £273 7s. 3d., and an expenditure of £233 6s. 4d., and confirmed. Messrs. G. N. Galr, Barker, Nicholls, Holmes, Pickett, Edmunds, E. Pollen, Pilcher, and Smith were elected ~ new members; - 'The Honorable W. Fitzherbert, president, his Worship the Mayor and T. Buchanan, Kaqa., vice-presidents, were re-elected. Mr. Harrison was elected secretary and. treasurer, and Messrs. Fisher, G. " Campbell, A. Campbell, Major,' l D. McLean, Churton,and P. Webb were appointed a committee for the ensuing year," . ' *. That at the Easter Monday sports points shall be given to the different competitors ; the h'gVst aggregate scorer to receive a medal and be considered the champion of the club for the year. Distances to be 100, 220, 440, 880 yards, and one mile. - All competitors to ■tart from scratch. ‘ That every member of thD club competing at any sports not held’ under the auspices of * the club shall wear a black rosette, and a penalty of 2S. 64. shall be enforced for every breach of this ru’e. , - It was resolved that a sum of money should be set apart out of the funds 'of the club, to be devoted to the improvement of the Basin Reserve.
