Hickson, do At the special request of a number of competitors, the entries for the following events will be received on the ground up to 1 o’clock on the day of the sports, viz.:—Boys* Walking Match, Running High Jump, Vaulting with the Pole, and the Old Man’s Race. We are requested by the hon. secretary to state, that in consequence of a request having been made by parents of several children entered for the Baby Show not to have the entries published, the entries will not appear. Further qptries, however, will be received at the entrance to a large marquee to be erected on the ground for the purpose of awarding the prize. The handicaps for the above events will be declared on Friday, 3rd inst. Acceptances will be declared on Tuesday, 7th inst.
