The grand champion handicap was run off on Saturday afternoon at the.Yictoria Grounds, Abel-Smith-street, The results were as'follows:— ; 600 Yards Handicap. ■ Ist Heat. 2nd Heat. 1. Jones Blythe 2. Cooper Major , Final beat—Blythe, Jones, Major, and Cooper. 400 Yards Handicap. Ist Heat. 2nd Heat. 1. Jones ; , Blythe.'* 2. Churton Hearn Final heat—Blythe, Jones, Hearn, and Churton. 600 Yards'Handicap. Ist Heat. , , 2nd Heat. 1. Moran Blythe' 2. Donovan Jones . Final heat—Blythe, Donovan, Moran, and Jones. For the prizes Blythe comes first, and there was a tie ; between Major and Churton for the fourth prize. This will be run off on Saturday next at the Victoria Grounds. We will publish the complete prize list in next Monday's issue.
